The ICV Program is one of the critical campaigns led by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), UAE and aims to boost UAE’s economy by localizing critical parts of the supply chain, incentivizing local procurement, and creating opportunities for Emirati talent in the private sector

Step-by-step instructions on how to obtain ICV certificate & ICV score.

Audited FS

The Entity should have an audited financial statements and valid trade license (including organized books of accounts).

For new companies

For newly established companies (less than 10 months old) that do not have audited financial statements, the management accounts (unaudited financial statements) for a period of up to 9 months can be used for ICV calculations. Any management accounts exceeding 9 months will require auditing.

Business Registration

Make sure your company is registered with the appropriate UAE authorities via MOIAT portal using UAE pass. (Proper authorization is needed in this regard). NAFIS registration is also mandatory for your company.

Document Compilation

Collect all required paperwork, such as contracts, purchase invoices, employee information, and financial records.

Assessment

Your company will go through a thorough evaluation to find out its ICV score, which calculates the value contributed by the Entity in the United Arab Emirates.

ICV Calculation

The ICV score is determined by considering a number of variables, including capital investment and its growth, employee nationality, and local spending, export revenue of services and UAE originated products, certain ISO certifications, adoption of latest technology.

ICV Certificate Issuance

You will receive the ICV Certificate, which is valid for a period of 14 months from the date of the audited financial statements

Compliance and Reporting

Continue keeping accurate records and following ICV regulations. To renew your certificate, you might need to submit reports on a regular basis.
